Pogoda się zepsuła akurat wtedy, kiedy przestałam dziergać mohair'owy sweter i zabrałam się z letnią bluzeczkę z bawełny... Wczoraj nawet na zakupy założyłam najgrubszy sweter - Lucindę, a po domu chodziłam w t-shircie, bluzce i swetrze. Na razie chyba odłożę ten letni top i powrócę do Kimona, które kompletnie zaniedbałam przez weekend.
Since Sunday I've been like an onion. Or Paint Shop. I've had layers.
The weather got worse, it's windy and wet, just when I finished a warm mohair cardigan and started a Summer cotton top... Yesterday when I went shopping I wore my warmest cardigan Lucinda, and around the apartment I wore a t-shirt, a blouse and a cardigan. I'll probably put the cotton top away for a while and go back to my Kimono, which was left untouched over the weekend.
Seaside Memories ma już dwa środki i kawałek lewego rękawa. Muszę przyznać, że dzierganie z Medusy to duże wyzwanie. Nitka składa się z wielu pojedynczych nieskręconych śliskich niteczek i łatwo nie złapać którejś, szczególnie podczas łapania trzech oczek razem na lewo. Ale jestem bardzo zadowolona z efektu - bluzeczka wychodzi lekka, trochę sznurkowa i trochę taka "lejąca się", w sam raz na ciepłą pogodę.
Seaside Memories has already two middle panels and part of the left sleeve. I must admit that knitting with Medusa yarn is a challenge. The thread consists of many thin slippery not twisted together threads and it's easy not to catch one or two especially when you purl three together. But I'm very happy with the result - the top seems to be light and flowing, just perfect for the warm weather.

Byłam dzisiaj w pasmanterii i ... nie kupiłam sobie żadnej włóczki! (proszę mnie pochwalić! *^v^*). Za to kupiłam piękną włóczkę dla mojego Secret Pal'a i mam już zgromadzone wszystko, co chciałabym wysłać do mojej współuczestniczki w tej wymianie, tak więc jutro lecę na pocztę, a w przyszłym tygodniu ktoś dostanie paczuszkę ode mnie! =^v^=
I've been to the yarn shop today and haven't bought a single skein for myself! (praise me, please! *^v^*) But I bought a beautiful yarn for my Secret Pal, I have everything I wanted to send her gathered so tomorrow I'm going to the post office with a parcel ready to send. Next week somebody's going to get some goodies from me! =^v^=
Tak przy okazji, jakich drutów używacie najcześciej?
U mnie okazało się, że ostatnio ciągle robię coś na 4mm na żyłce, i nawet przekładałam projekty z tych czwórek na inne druty, żeby zmienić na chwilę projekt, bo miałam tylko jedną sztukę. Dziś dokupiłam sobie drugą parę, tak więc mam już 80 cm i 100 cm. ^^
BTW, what's the size of needles you use most often?
It turned out that I use 4 mm circular needles the most and recently I've been placing the projects from those 4mm onto other needles when I wanted to move to another knitting for a change. Not any more - today I bought another 4mm needle, so now I have 80 cm long and 100 cm long. ^^
Brawa za silną wolę w pasmanterii, u mnie dziś niestety było wręcz przeciwnie ;-P A druty to najczęściej 4-4,5 z okazjonalnymi wycieczkami w kierunku 3,5 i 5

ReplyDeleteU mnie najwiecej jest drutow 3 - 3 3/4, mam tez 20mm i 1.5 ;)
Ciagle dokupuje druty (zylkowe, najchetniej Addi Turbo), bo gubie, tzn. sa one w zaczetych robotkach, probkach. Najczesciej dlugosc to 80cm, mam jedne 100 i kilka pomylkowych 40 i chyba jeszcze mniej!!
generalnie to też 4mm :] ale ostatnio dwa swetry zrobiłam na 5,5.
ReplyDeletechwalę za silną wolę. Moja pasmanteria sama rozwiązała ten problem: nie mogę płacić kartą a nie zawsze mam ze sobą wystarczającą ilość gotówki. No i ceny mnie odstraszają!
Oooo the color is very pretty that you are using for your seaside top. i am currently using a Splitty yarn for my socks so i have to pay more attention but the end result will be nice.
ReplyDeleteWow i am totally impressed i can't go in a yarn store and not buy anything for myself. I just went the other day for a ball of yarn for Aidan's sweater and instead of leaving once i had it i looked around and of course got more yarn. So i am super proud that you were able to do that-you have willpower!!!
Hmmm the needles i use the most probably 5mm for tops since i always seem to pick a pattern that needs that size, 3mm for socks and 3.75 mm for all the bears i will be knitting up in the next few weeks lol :)
They have a new book out called Knit so Fine i am very interested in it-i think i would make more tops if they were in a finer guage-i don't think the thicker yarn flatters me very well.
I love the colors of your sweaters! I'm so behind in reading blogs that it was a joy to read yours..your views are awesome and you have been certainly busy baking, too! I know your secret pal with loves her stuff! I know I loved my envelope (check your email)
